1. Will there be other people in my chapter who are in the same profession?
No. We are an exclusive referral organization, only one person per business category is allowed to be a member of a The Referral Zone chapter.
2. Do I need to be at the meeting every week?
Yes! For The Referral Zone to work for you, you need to work The Referral Zone! This requires you to be there and be active! The Referral Zone's attendance policy is - you are allowed eight absences each year.
3. Once I join The Referral Zone, how often will I have the opportunity to talk about my business?
You have several opportunities during the meeting to talk about your business:
A. During the informal "meet and greet" part of the meeting (done during the first 15 minutes which is critical" relationship building" time).
B. Each week you have the opportunity to do a "45 Second Business Commercial" about your business and the type of referrals you are seeking.
C. On a rotating schedule, you will also be the featured speaker who gives an eight minute presentation.
4. If I belong to one chapter of The Referral Zone, can I belong to another?
Members of The Referral Zone may not be a member of another chapter of The Referral Zone. The reason for this is you should only be referring to one of those business professionals in order to have a "mutually beneficial" relationship.
5. Are members of The Referral Zone required to bring referrals and/or visitors each week?
You are required to bring referrals and visitors on a regular basis. Your participation is evaluated. However, members may not always have a referral or visitor each week but should consistently try to bring both. The Referral Zone does not have fines, minimums or quotas.
6. What are the membership fees?
The application fee is $50 and annual dues are only $175. Compare our fees with the costs of conventional advertising and other networking organizations! For this relatively small investment, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in a The Referral Zone chapter where you can exclusively market your business to a captive audience of motivated professionals who function as a sales The Referral Zone for you!
7. What makes The Referral Zone different from other referral organizations?
Structure, support, high ethical standards, community outreach, internet marketing, leadership training, charitable support are just a few key differences. The Referral Zone provides unparalleled support for their members and requires high ethical standards in accordance with its Member's Creed. The Referral Zone also believes in participating in community awareness and outreach programs, therefore, each The Referral Zone chapter has the opportunity to “give back” to their local community. The Referral Zone provides thorough and innovative training for the chapter leaders and members. The Referral Zone has morning, afternoon and evening meeting formats to accommodate its members.
